This work of graphic art, more animation than video, leaps ahead into contemporary issues and the new forces that are colonizing the public imagination. There is no such thing as an ideological vacuum; the coarse propaganda of communism has been replaced by consumerism. The work is a commentary on the contemporary iconosphere of tacky commercialism that shapes both public space and popular “shoppers’ dreams” by targeting the sector of the public that seeks self-fulfillment in the new theater of gigantic hypermarkets and the spectacle of teleshopping.
