By extending the metal cabinet—drums of Executive Machinery with a system of amplification and digital sampling, I build a structure of sounds from short fragments of multi—layered loops. I add improvised piano scales and noise—action to the continously accumulating rhythmic field of the cabinet drumbeat. The resulting compositions are characterized by the gradual development of the dramatic sonic ambiance, fast sequenced movements and sudden changes. Executive Machinery links the office and the concert hall, new technology and contemplation, industrial noise and sexual symbolism, everyday reality and the creative process.—
